Winemaking: Old & New, Tahbilk Wines

A personally guided tour Tahbilk's historic winery encompassing both the old and the new technologies utilised.

Tahbilk’s traditional red wines are fermented in the same vats that were used in the 1800’s, but winemaking techniques change and improve with time. In addition to the historic winery, Tahbilk has a modern winery, and employs up to date winemaking techniques and practices.

There is no better winery to experience a history of winemaking. You can learn why some older techniques are still preferred and where new practices produce a better wine.

Penfolds Iconic Experience

A guided historical tour of Penfolds Magill Estate.

Your host will take you on a journey through Penfolds’ history including a visit to the Grange Cottage and the vintage cellar. You will also experience the underground drives and see the original hiding spot of Max Schubert’s hidden Grange.

Your host will then lead you through a structured Tasting of some of Australia's most highly coveted wines followed by a 3 course lunch with matched wines in a Private Room. 

Bush Tucker Tasting, Mandoon Estate

The Swan Valley region holds a truly unique history influenced by the traditional owners of the land Mandoon Estate is located on Noongar land, in fact Mandoon is a Noongar word for a place of many trees.

In keeping with its indigenous heritage, Mandoon Estate offers a unique opportunity to listen to the stories of this area and learn about local indigenous food and culture from Noongar Elder, Dale Tilbrook.

After tasting some traditional bush food with Dale, taste how Mandoon’s chefs incorporate Australia’s native ingredients into the menus with a 2-course lunch paired with award-winning beer and wine.
