Estate-To-Plate: A Locavore Experience
Voyager Estate 16th November 2019
Passionate, committed and one-hundred per cent behind local produce and producers: this dinner is all about supporting the home team.
“Go local or go home.” It’s a way of life – and trucker cap slogan – for Ray Adriansyah, one of the two chefs behind Bali’s uncompromising regional restaurant, Locavore. Indonesian ingredients are the stars of a thoroughly modern dining experience that sees guests enjoy dishes such as “Into the Sawah” aka everything that lives, grows and swims in and around a rice paddy – rice porridge, duck egg yolk, snails, frog legs, fern tips, wildflowers.
This deep focus on local, seasonal ingredients is shared by Spanish-born chef Santiago Fernandez, the head chef of Voyager Estate whose food is inspired by the creativity in the vineyard. Each dish, a tribute to the wine.
Together, these two talented chefs will create a one-off menu grounded in the importance of choosing and celebrating everything that’s around you.
And because dinner will be held at Voyager’s grounds, this celebration will also include Voyager’s vaunted wines, consistently rated as some of the region’s best. Home ground advantage has never tasted so good.
