The Spring Seminar on Emergency Medicine 2023 convened in South Australia's Barossa Valley, hosted by the Peripheral Hospitals Emergency Medicine Conference. As part of the conference, delegates enjoyed offsite dinners at selected venues, including Artisans of Barossa, a collaboration of eight family-owned wineries dedicated to small-batch winemaking.

Located just outside Tanunda, Artisans of Barossa offered a stunning outdoor setting for one of the conference's evenings. A clear marquee was erected on the property's manicured lawns, providing panoramic views of the vineyards and the rolling hills of the Barossa Ranges. The marquee was strategically positioned adjacent to the bar, creating a seamless flow between indoor and outdoor spaces.

Guests were welcomed with Artisans of Barossa's 2021 "Small Batch" Blanc de Blanc upon arrival, setting the tone for an evening of culinary delights and entertainment. Roving waiters served a variety of substantial canapés, including pulled pork sliders, chicken yakitori skewers, and beef bourguignon pies, while guests enjoyed outdoor games like Giant Jenga and Connect 4 on the lawns.

Inside the marquee, festoon lighting and olive branch hanging hoops added to the ambience, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. The setup included a stage for live music performances and large screens for presentations, ensuring all guests could fully engage with the evening's activities. Additionally, Essen restaurant's glass doors remained open throughout the event, providing guests with additional space to mingle and enjoy the surroundings.

An expansive grazing table showcased a selection of gourmet items and local specialties, including cheeses, meats, pickled vegetables, and house-made dips. To complement the grazing table, guests indulged in a variety of canapés. To end the evening on a sweet note, a decadent lemon tart with passionfruit and jersey cream was served.

The event at Artisans of Barossa not only provided a memorable dining experience but also showcased the region's culinary offerings and hospitality, making it a highlight of the conference.
