Join the Wheeler Centre for a shared lunch at Montalto, as David James speaks with Alexis Wright's about her powerful new novel, Praiseworthy. The highly anticipated novel from this multi-award winning author, incorporates both an examination of climate disaster and a rallying cry against oppression.
One of Australia’s most celebrated writers, Alexis Wright has also published Carpentaria and The Swan Book, as well as three works of non-fiction: Take Power, an oral history of the Central Land Council; Grog War, a study of alcohol abuse in the Northern Territory; and Tracker, an award-winning collective memoir of Aboriginal leader Tracker Tilmouth.
Daniel James, winner of the 2018 Horne Prize for his essay Ten More Days, is a contributor to the Age, IndigenousX, SBS, Crikey, Croakey.
