Stanton and Killeen has become the first Rutherglen winery to join Ultimate Winery Experiences Australia (UWEA), marking a significant milestone for the renowned wine region in Victoria.

Known for its exceptional muscat production, Rutherglen sits between Melbourne and Canberra in Victoria's high country. Stanton & Killeen is located within a short drive of several regional hubs including Wangaratta, Beechworth and Albury-Wodonga, along with the neighbouring King Valley which is home to fellow UWEA members Pizzini and Brown Brothers.

Led by Wendy and Natasha Killeen, the family-owned winery spanning seven generations and 148 years, specialises in Portuguese varietals, in addition to their award-winning muscats, topaques, tawnies, and vintage fortifieds. 

Visitors to the Stanton & Killeen cellar door in Rutherglen can enjoy exclusive experiences such as a Private tour & Tasting in the Solera Room, which houses the iconic aging barrels that make Rutherglen's muscat famous. The Muscat Blending Experience allows fortified wine enthusiasts to discover the nuances of different muscat classifications and create their personalised bottle to take home.

For those seeking a culinary treat, Stanton & Killeen collaborates with local caterers Savoy Truffle Co to provide delectable grazing hampers and picnics. The cellar door also offers a selection of local cheeses and smallgoods for platters and the Private Tour & Tasting experience in the Solera Room includes a gourmet produce platter.

With Stanton & Killeen joining the fold, UWEA now boasts a total of 29 wineries, including eight from Victoria. These wineries span the Mornington Peninsula, King Valley, Nagambie, the Yarra Valley, and now Rutherglen.
