Learn the art of fly casting, and gain an introduction to fly fishing with RiverFly Tasmania and Josef Chromy Winery.

Situated amongst the rolling hills of the Winery, find yourself learning the basics of casting on our lake with Tasmania’s leading fly fishing guides.

Enjoy a complementary tasting at the Cellar Door and then head to the Restaurant for a two course lunch of fine Tasmanian produce matched with wines overlooking the vineyards.

Leeuwin Degustation Experience: Leeuwin Estate, Margaret River WA

‘The Ultimate Leeuwin Degustation Experience’ is the most luxurious way to be introduced to the Estate’s unique qualities - fine wine, food and the arts.

This indulgent itinerary begins with morning tea and coffee followed by a behind the scenes tour introducing the history and winemaking philosophy of Leeuwin Estate. After visiting the Art Gallery to view the unique collection of contemporary Australian artworks that feature on the labels of Leeuwin’s premium ‘Art Series’ range of wines, the experience continues with a tutored tasting of select Leeuwin Estate wines.

Upon returning to the award winning restaurant, guests will be presented with a seasonal seven course degustation menu accompanied by carefully matched Estate wines. Each dish and wine match will be introduced by Leeuwin's culinary team. This tantalizing experience is tailored to ‘wow’ even the most experienced diner.

Let's Do Lunch: Josef Chromy, Tasmania

Arrive in the beautiful grounds of Josef Chromy Wines and take a stroll through the gardens established in 1888.

Enjoy a complementary tasting at the picturesque Cellar Door then retire to the Restaurant for a two course lunch of fine Tasmanian produce matched with wines.

The Art of Sparkling: Josef Chromy, Tasmania

Go behind the scenes and tour the Josef Chromy winery and learn the how traditional method Sparkling wine is made. The art of making sparkling is explained (and tasted along the way) from base wine to corking and wiring. The tour commences at the Cellar Door and takes in the history of the vineyard and the Tasmanian Wine Industry.

Guests will be taken through the sparkling wine making and disgorging process, then work with the winemaking team in the laboratory to choose and add the liquour, the final step in sparkling wine making. Each participant will produce a bottle of sparkling to their own taste to enjoy on the day and may order sparkling wine at their own dosage rate to be sent following their visit.

Guests conclude with a 2 course lunch matched with wine and a complementary tasting.

Cape to Vine Day Trip: Vasse Felix, Margaret River WA

The Margaret River cape offers one of the most spectacular, untouched stretches of coastline in the world. Experience the power of the Indian Ocean and the unique and pristine flora and fauna of the Region on this walking tour with track specialists, Cape to Cape Explorer Tours.

After working up an appetite exploring the wonders of the track, indulge the senses at Margaret River’s founding wine estate, Vasse Felix. A private tour takes you behind the scenes on winemaking at the estate, where you will meet a winemaker and discover unique historical insights into the Margaret River Wine Region, followed by a tasting of the Vasse Felix Collection. Your experience also includes a walking journey through the original vineyards of Margaret River, learning about the unique geology and climate of the region that defines the wines of Vasse Felix.

Take your new wine knowledge with you into the world of food and wine pairing at the Vasse Felix Restaurant - one of Australia’s most awarded establishments. Discover local produce and the philosophies that guide the Vasse Felix chefs in creating dishes to accentuate the region’s wines. Enjoy a five course tasting menu paired with wines, before selecting your choice of a bottle of Vasse Felix Premier wine to take away and share with your friends and family.

Moorilla Wine Meets MONA Art Day Tour: Moorilla, Tasmania

The famous MONA (Museum of Old and New Art) is perched on the banks of the River Derwent, not far from Hobart and is also home to the Moorilla winery and vineyard, as well as luxury accommodation, bars, a restaurant and more.

Kick off your Moorilla Experience by sailing from Hobart to MONA on the high-speed ferry, complete with an onboard bar. Spend some time exploring the  subterranean galleries at your leisure (entry is included) and be sure to check mona.net.au for information about current exhibitions.

After your art binge, head to Mona’s top-notch restaurant at 1.30pm for a one-course lunch of seasonal local produce, matched with a glass of wine from Moorilla’s Muse or Praxis Series.

Fed and watered, you’ll then begin your behind-the-scenes tour of the winery at 3.30pm in Moorilla’s vineyard (the second oldest in Tasmania). Delve into Moorilla’s backstory with your expert host and get acquainted with the finer points of old and new artisanal winemaking techniques. You’ll be treated to a tasting of ten different Moorilla wines—elegant, fragrant and often experimental—including a selection from their prestigious Cloth Label Series.

Includes 5pm return ferry transfer from Mona to Hobart.
