Ultimate Winery Experiences Australia

Jacob's Creek

Jacob’s Creek™ is one of Australia’s leading wine brands, offering quality contemporary Australian wine styles with great varietal expression. The brand was first launched in 1976 and is named after the Creek that runs through the Barossa Ranges in South Australia’s famous Barossa Valley.

Jacob’s Creek is made by Orlando Wines which was founded after Johann Gramp planted his first vines on the banks of Jacob’s Creek in 1847 and thus began a tradition of winemaking over 165 years ago.

Overview

The Jacob’s Creek Visitor Centre is the home of the Jacob’s Creek wine brand and is situated in Australia’s most famous wine region, the Barossa Valley, South Australia and is just a one hour drive from the centre of Adelaide.
It has been recognised as a leading wine tourism site in Australia and was entered into the South Australian Tourism Hall of Fame in 2010 for winning Best Major Tourist Attraction three years in a row, it was also awarded at the 2011 Australian Tourism Awards, Best Tourism Restaurant and Best Tourism Winery.

The centre offers a memorable culinary tourism experience with a tempting combination of food and wine, and sweeping views of vineyards and hills. The stunning building features benchmark environmental design, based on principles of sustainability, recycling and energy conservation.

Within the Centre, visitors can sample Jacob’s Creek wines as well as cellar door exclusives with a casual or structured wine tasting, learn about the region’s history and heritage in the interpretive gallery or enjoy a lunch at Our Table which offers contemporary Australian food matched to wine recommendations.

We also offer the Jacob’s Creek food and wine sensory experience to enhance visitor’s knowledge of food and wine matching. Outside, visitors can tour the demonstration vineyard of 14 different grapes varieties to learn more about how wine is made, take a walk or cycle through the picturesque grounds which are home to a wealth of native flora and fauna along the banks of Jacob’s Creek or simply enjoy the views from the deck surrounded by the native Australian plant garden.
