This week the World’s Best Vineyards 2019 awards took place in London and we are thrilled to share the exciting news that three Ultimate Wineries were included in the Top 50. Penfolds Magill Estate took 13th place, d'Arenberg 29th and Seppeltsfield 47th.
The prestigious awards consist of a voting academy from around the globe, and the criteria is the ‘total experience’ – including vineyard, culinary, wine tasting and tourism offering. The aim of the World’s Best Vineyards list is to raise the profile of wine tourism, and encourage visitors from all over the world to explore the world’s best wineries and vineyards.
The World’s Best Vineyards 2019 list has been compiled from all of the nominations by the global academy of voters, there are 18 chairs who have nominated up to 36 judges, each have voted for the top seven vineyards that they have visited from anywhere in the world.
Congratulations to all the wineries in the Top 50, leading the way in wine tourism.
