Ultimate Winery Experiences Australia

Luxury in Wine Paradise

We are very excited to introduce two brand new luxury itineraries in the spectacular Margaret River region.

Over the course of fifty years, Margaret River has built an international reputation for wines of incredible quality, power and elegance. It is a region that is capable of producing wines to match the world’s best, famed in particular for Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay and Semillon/Sauvignon Blanc blends.

Located in the far south-west corner of Western Australia, Margaret River is one of the most geographically isolated wine regions in the world, however with an increase in international connections to Perth, a brand new domestic flight connecting Melbourne with nearby Busselton airport, Margaret River is ready to take its place among the most popular destinations in Australia to sample incredible food and wine.

Aside from the delicious food and wine, Margaret River also boasts an incredibly picturesque coastline, stunning forest trails, and a thriving arts scene.  There's almost too much to see in one visit.  To ensure you make the most of your time here, we've befriended local tour operator, MyDriver Margaret River, to design two luxurious itineraries combining some of the best this unique destination has to offer.

Provenance - Margaret River

A single day tour, showcasing the regions provenance through signature experiences touching on grape growing, winemaking, food and wine pairing and a private guided walk along a section of the famous Cape to Cape track.

The tour begins with a short-driven introduction of Margaret River town before heading to the beachside White Elephant Café for a tea, coffee and muffin and the chance to view Surfers Point and the Margaret River mouth beach. From there its straight to Voyager Estate for an estate tour, tasting, and the renowned Discovery Menu.

To complete the day, you will be driven up the coast to participate in a guided two hour walking section of the Cape to Cape Track. One of Australia’s most unique and varied walking trails, covering 135km, it stretches the entire length of the Leeuwin-Naturaliste Ridge, starting and finishing at the lighthouses on each of the Capes.

Sensory Indulgence of Margaret River

For a true luxury immersion in this beautiful region, this three day, two night indulgence combines Ultimate Winery Experiences based around world class wine and food with luxury accommodation at Cape Lodge, an aboriginal cultural discovery, and participation on one of the Great Walks of Australia. There is an option to either fly into and out of the region or to transfer both ways from Perth in the comfort of a luxury vehicle.

Leeuwin Estate is the first stop where you will be treated to the ‘Ultimate Leeuwin Estate Wine Blending and Dining Experience’, an extraordinary, hands-on way to discover the Estate and all it has to offer. From there, to your beautiful Lakeside Chalet at Cape Lodge where you will enjoy a superb dinner or  prepared hamper whilst relaxing under the stars at a Cape Mentelle outdoor movie (subject to screening and weather conditions).

On Day 2, you will explore the world of food and wine at Margaret River’s founding wine estate, Vasse Felix. The tour takes you behind the scenes on winemaking, sharing unique historical insights into the region and all facets of wine production at Vasse Felix before stepping into the world of food and wine matching, gaining an insight into Margaret River’s local produce, and the philosophies that guide the Vasse Felix Chefs in their creation of dishes to match with the region’s wines.

Next a magical private twilight Didgeridoo cave tour with ‘Koomal Dreaming’ Wadandi custodian Josh “Koomal” Whiteland before returning for a well earned rest at Cape Lodge.

Day 3 takes you on a 5 to 6 hour private guided walk along a spectacular section of the Cape to Cape track between pristine Redgate beach to Boranup Forest past vibrant granite formations, lagoon-like coves and limestone cliffs before climbing through scenic elevated bushland taking in the impressive turquoise ocean, white beaches and coastal cliffs overlooking Conto’s beach.
