3-day WEEKEND! No doubt we've all been counting down the days to the end of January, but in all the excitement, did you forget to actually plan anything? If so, fear not.  There are plenty of events taking place at the Ultimate Wineries and all of the cellar doors and restaurants are open for business and eager to impart some wine wisdom.  Here are some ideas for a long weekend to remember:

Head to the Hills for the annual Crush Festival

Discover what's cool about the Adelaide Hills during CRUSH, a sensory summer weekend of stylish wines, regional produce, earthy music, art and theatre.

The Lane Vineyard will be celebrating with an Australia Day Long Lunch with special guest Chef Duncan Welgemoed of Africola.  Join the Lane's own James Brinklow and Duncan in a true feast for the senses. With two renowned chefs in the kitchen and six courses on the menu - we can barely contain our excitement!

Celebrations continue at The Lane on Saturday and Sunday: Get playful with the second annual Croquet and Rosé event. Step inside and taste new releases from the heart of the winery and then get pink with Frosé and delicious aromatics, pouring at the outdoor Rosé Bar. Relax on the lawns for the afternoon with tasty treats from our hatted restaurant and a funky vinyl soundtrack to complete the scene.

Take in some Shakespeare at Seppeltsfield

Essential Theatre in conjunction with the Seppeltsfield Road Business Alliance proudly presents Shakespeare’s delightful comedy - Twelfth Night.  This highly successful series of 'Shakespeare in the Vines' performances tours Australia, landing on the stunning grounds of Seppeltsfield on Saturday 27th.

Essential Theatre Co Artistic Director Amanda LaBonte returns to direct this laugh out loud comedy, one of her favourites in the canon. Amanda has a wealth of experience performing Shakespeare, and brings a fresh eye to this hilarious, yet heartbreaking tale of unrequited love. We also welcome back designer, Amaya Vecellio, to weave her magic on the costumes and bring the world of Ilyria to life.

Get your groove on in the King Valley

Join Brown Brothers Milawa on Australia Day for free live music from CUTEST LITTLE MONSTER from 11am to 3pm.

No bookings required for casual dining in the Wine Bar from 11am to 4pm.

Chill out at Josef Chromy Wines

Chill to the sounds of live local music, playing to the last of the summer sunlight.  Enjoy roaming canapes from 6:30 to 7:30 pm, plus an oyster and ceviche station on the deck with live acoustic music, followed by a seated set menu dinner served in the restaurant. Drinks at the bar from 6pm.
