We are thrilled to announce the inclusion of two new members to the collection – Gemtree Wines located close to our existing members, d'Arenberg and Wirra Wirra in McLaren Vale, South Australia; and Sirromet, UWEA’s first Queensland member winery.  We cannot wait to spread the word on behalf of two more exceptional UWEA members, both offering world class visitor experiences.

Gemtree's 306 acres of vineyards are certified organic and biodynamic. Gemtree’s philosophy is not just about winemaking, it is about setting new standards for sustainable, generational farming.

Gemtree's sustainably-built Cellar Door takes in elevated views over McLaren Vale to the ocean beyond. Located at the Cellar Door is the Gemtree Biodynamic Hut, an informal interactive experience providing visitors with a deeper understanding of biodynamic viticulture. Adjacent to the Cellar Door is the 1km Gemtree Ecotrail, a meandering path through 10 hectares of regenerated natural bushland, offering visitors a connection to the surrounding land that inspires Gemtree's guiding philosophies.

Experiences on offer at Gemtree include: ‘Being Biodynamic’ – a guided tour of the Biodynamic Hut and vineyard, a tutored wine tasting, regional produce platter lunch with a glass of wine and a bottle of wine to take home; and premium experience ‘The Gem’, a private guided tour of the Biodynamic Hut and vineyard with co-owner and viticulturist Melissa Brown, tutored premium wine and barrel tastings, a private tour of winery with co-owner and winemaker Mike Brown, as well as a private chef and degustation lunch with Mike and Melissa paired with matching wines.

Sirromet is a family owned and run winery situated at picturesque Mount Cotton, just a short drive from Brisbane and the Gold Coast.

On Sirromet's vast grounds visitors can experience fine dining at Restaurant Lurleen’s or for a more casual setting enjoy the Tuscan inspired menu at the Tuscan Terrace or light lunch at the cellar door.  Luxury accommodation is also available onsite at newly opened Sanctuary by Sirromet - nestled among tranquil bushland, a collection of tented pavilions offer elegant comfort and style, capturing amazing views across Moreton Bay.

With 100 hectares under vine, Sirrromet’s vineyards are located in the high altitude of Queensland’s Granite Belt region, situated 600-1500 metres above sea level and approximately three hours’ drive south west of Brisbane.
