Launching in November The Lane Vineyard’s latest project, an outdoor entertaining terrace, will open for both casual dining, tasting and private events. The Terrace enables guests to enjoy casual dining menus while taking in unparalleled views of the Adelaide Hills. The Terrace adds yet another dining option to the already popular offerings available at this second-generation family-run winery.  Currently the Lane Vineyard boasts an award-winning restaurant, Tasting Room, Panorama experience, Boat Shed and educational wine tastings across the estate.

The Terrace is the culmination of a vision by stepbrothers Martyn Edwards and Ben Tolstoshev, General Managers of The Lane Vineyard. ‘The boys’ continue the evolution of the estate, established by their parents John and Helen Edwards in 1993.

Thrilled with the space and flexibility the new area provides, Marty explains “We acknowledge that not everyone had time or childcare to enable a long lunch at The Lane, thus we are renowned for hosting those ‘special occasion‘ lunches and intimate events. The Terrace provides a more ‘everyday experience’ and will allow those who want to, to enjoy great food and wines in a more relaxed setting”.

Following the eleven-year success of the restaurant, acclaimed Executive Chef James Brinklow and his Chef Hatted kitchen, has helped to place the winery on Australia’s national gourmet map. Brinklow and his team, have designed a brand new menu for The Terrace that is both flexible for walk-ins, as well as being accommodating for large groups and parties. The menu will continue to reflect James's passion for celebrating local and seasonal ingredients, as well as complementing the characters of The Lane Vineyard’s wines.

The generously proportioned terrace caters for couples and groups of up to twenty guests. Guests will be offered a snack menu, as well as a more substantial offering of cheese and charcuterie plates.  A separate upscale BBQ menu will be provided for private events, accommodating up to 50 guests at a time.  Guests can choose to buy wine on consumption, or select a wine package. For celebrations, weddings, corporate events and private functions, the whole Terrace is available for exclusive hire, accommodating up to 400 guests standing.

This graceful entertaining space, is set over two levels, with steps gently sloping down from the restaurant, following the contours of the vineyards. An inbuilt state of the art speaker system will keep toes tapping during the day, whilst once the sun sets over the vines and Mount Lofty, the LED lighting system will bring the local surroundings to life.

The Terrace will become one of Adelaide’s largest entertaining spaces to open this summer, overlooking the picturesque Adelaide Hills.  With its close proximity to the Adelaide CBD, The Terrace is sure to be the place to unwind this festive summer season.
