Wirra Wirra Announces 5* Hotel Development
We are very excited to share news from ...
The warmer months in Australia draw the crowds outdoors like nowhere else on earth. The long summer break allows maximum opportunity for time with the family and, in between stints at the beach and garden barbecues, we may occasionally run out of inspiration for family outings that fulfil everyone's entertainment priorities. Fear not. We have ideas from far and wide that are guaranteed to please young and old.
Perched alongside the beautiful Swan River, Mandoon Estate is one of the Swan Valley’s best-loved wineries and most popular destinations.
As well as the cellar door, showcasing the Estate’s range of award-winning fine wines, within the picturesque grounds also lies a microbrewery and casual dining venue, the Homestead Brewery; fine dining restaurant Wild Swan; a gourmet deli and beer garden offering charcuterie and cheese platters, roast meat on the spit and gourmet sausages; a children’s playground; and the property’s original homestead, dating back to circa 1905, which has been restored and now houses the Linton & Kay Art Gallery.
There is quite literally something for everyone at Mandoon Estate and, only 25 minutes from Perth CBD, this is an easily accessible family day out.
We can't rave enough about this ever-popular experience combining Victoria's famous Healesville Sanctuary, De Bortoli Wines and the Yarra Valley Chocolaterie & Ice Creamery. This really is the perfect Yarra Valley self-drive day out.
Your wine and wildlife package begins at the iconic Healesville Sanctuary, one of Australia’s most loved tourist attractions and the best place in Victoria to see and interact with native Australian wildlife in a stunning bushland setting.
A 20 minute drive through the picturesque Yarra Valley takes you from Healesville to the De Bortoli Yarra Valley Estate to enjoy a two course lunch from the Italian-inspired menu with tea, coffee and house made biscotti followed by an optional wine tasting at the Cellar Door.
Finish up at the Yarra Valley Chocolaterie & Ice Creamery – a short 5 minute drive. In the stunning showroom indulge in abundant free chocolate tastings and choose from over 250 handcrafted chocolate products with your 10% discount voucher.
This self-drive package is perfect for a day-trip to the Yarra Valley or for visitors staying overnight.

SUPA GOLF is a game the whole family can enjoy. Situated at Sirromet Winery at Mt Cotton, SUPA GOLF is a modified form of golf using over-sized golf clubs and over-sized coloured balls. Enjoy a game on the 9-hole golf course with wallabies as your main spectators in the Queensland sunshine. Following your game, why not take a short stroll to the Winery and sample some of the award winning wines from the Granite Belt region while you distract the kids with an ice cream.
Visit Montalto for an idyllic afternoon on the Peninsula, enjoying your own private picnic. There are ten exclusive and secluded sites throughout the property, available for groups of 2 – 8, that are not otherwise accessible to visitors to Montalto.
The team at Montalto will look after every detail as you relax and enjoy the company of your friends and family for the afternoon. A table set with white linen, proper tableware and glassware and freshly prepared seasonal food inspired by the best of the season.
Take a stroll through the famous Sculpture Trail, admire Wendy's kitchen garden and save time for a tasting at the cellar door.

If you have never visited Seppeltsfield, or indeed the Barossa Valley, you may not know that the Seppeltsfield Estate is also home to an array of additional activities and attractions. Among the historic buildings alongside the Cellar Door, Gravity Flow Winery and Centennial Cellar you will also find fine dining establishment FINO Seppeltsfield; Benno's Kiosk & Picnic Grounds (located in the estate's gardens, within easy access from the main visitor carpark); the JamFactory craft & design studio, gallery and shop; and the Vasse Virgin Soap Factory where visitors can witness the process of soap-making, speak to the friendly team to learn the benefits of natural products, sample the delicious gourmet food range, or join one of the DIY style workshops and master classes.
Seppeltsfield Estate also boasts an onsite cooperage, guided tours and a full calendar of events.
If that selection doesn't inspire you to think outside the box this summer, we don't know what will. Plan ahead and enjoy a fun-packed summer discovering new sights, tastes and sounds among our dazzling wine regions.
