What's On in May
May 2026
Discover unique events at our Ultimate Wineries this May, blending exquisite wines and captivating experiences.
1 May - 27 Aug: Guided by a local artist, guests ease into a Paint & Sip session at Devil's Corner. The session starts with warm‑up sketches before painting their own landscape inspired by the iconic view framed in the cellar door windows. Whether you’re a first‑timer or a seasoned creative, the experience blends gentle guidance with space to explore your own expression.
Held on the last Thursday of each month, this midweek moment encourages travellers and locals alike to linger longer on the East Coast, when the roads are quiet, the mood is mellow, and the region reveals a different kind of beauty.
2 May: Join Pizzini Wines for Three Italians in the King Valley, a vibrant celebration of Italian culture with a long lunch featuring Italian wine styles, cuisine curated by Adam Pizzini, and captivating entertainment by Catherine Pendelich and Ced Le Medelo. Tickets available HERE.
2 May: Printhie Wines welcomes guest chef Sharon Winsor of Indigiearth for a curated three-course dinner with canapés, celebrating native Australian ingredients. 8-23 May: Set against the dramatic backdrop of the Hazards coastline, guests gather around open-air fire pits, with rustic seating creating intimate pockets of warmth in the heart of the elements at Devil's Corner. Crackling flames, crisp coastal air and the glow of firelight set the tone for a deeply atmospheric experience.
Wrapped in woollen throws and surrounded by soft, flickering light, guests can settle in and savour exceptional Tasmanian food and wine, designed to be enjoyed slowly. Here, winter isn’t something to escape, it’s something to lean into.
10 May: Mother's Day Buffet at Mandoon Estate - Celebrate Mum with a lavish buffet breakfast, set in the picturesque surroundings of Mandoon Estate. Enjoy a generous selection of hot and continental favourites, freshly brewed coffee, tea, and juices. Book HERE.
