Core Booking & Experience
- What is Ultimate Winery Experiences Australia?
A curated collection of premium, award-winning wineries offering immersive, behind-the-scenes experiences beyond traditional cellar door tastings.
- What types of experiences are available?
Experiences include private tastings, wine blending, degustation dining, vineyard tours, accommodation stays, and hands-on masterclasses.
- How do I book an experience?
Bookings are made directly through this website, via the individual winery hosting the experience, or through a travel agent.
- Are experiences private or shared?
Both options exist. Some are private, curated experiences, while others may be small-group formats depending on the experience and winery.
- How far in advance should I book?
Premium experiences often have limited capacity, booking 1-4 weeks in advance is recommended (longer for weekends or peak seasons).
Pricing, Inclusions & Value
- What is typically included in an experience?
Experiences vary and in addition to wine tastings, may include curated food pairings, degustation meals, picnics, exclusive access to areas not normally open to the public, horse riding, e-bike trails, fly-fishing and other unique activities, with wine typically included. Some experiences also offer spirits or non-alcoholic beverages. Guests should refer to the individual experience description for specific inclusions.
- Are gift vouchers available?
Yes, gift vouchers are available and make an ideal gift for wine enthusiasts and lovers of unique travel experiences. Choose from experience-specific vouchers at participating wineries or dollar-value vouchers that can be redeemed across the entire Ultimate Winery Experiences collection.
- Are prices per person or per booking?
Generally per person, unless specified as a private group or accommodation package.
Logistics and planning
- Where are the wineries located?
Experiences span Australia’s major wine regions including Adelaide Hills, Barossa Valley, Clare Valley, Hunter Valley, King Valley, Margaret River, McLaren Vale, Mornington Peninsula, Orange, Pemberton, Queensland, Rutherglen, Swan Valley, Tasmania and Yarra Valley. Check out the regional section of this website for more details.
- Can I visit multiple wineries in one day?
Yes, but planning is required. Some travellers combine experiences via tours or private drivers. We recommend focusing on 1 region per day.
- Do you offer transport or tours?
Not directly, but we work with tour operators and a chauffeur company to facilitate itineraries. See the Regional self-drive itineraries & guided tours section on each region's page.
- Do I need to be a wine expert to enjoy the experiences?
No. Many are designed to be educational, fun and accessible, regardless of wine knowledge.
- What should I wear?
Smart casual is generally appropriate; some premium dining experiences may warrant elevated attire. Also, if booking an e-bike or horseriding tour, dress appropriately for these activities.
Changes, cancellations & policies
- What is the cancellation policy?
Policies vary by winery. Typically 24-72 hours’ notice is required for refunds or changes.
- Can I reschedule my booking?
Often yes, subject to availability and the specific winery’s terms.
- What happens in bad weather?
Most experiences proceed as planned; indoor alternatives are usually available.

- Do you cater for dietary requirements?
Most premium experiences can accommodate dietary needs with prior notice.

With stunning vineyard settings, premium hospitality, exceptional food and wine and unique activities, wineries provide an inspiring alternative to traditional corporate venues. We have prepared several case studies as examples. Simply email us a brief, and we will be happy to help.
- Are accommodation packages available?
Yes, some wineries offer overnight stays as part of premium experiences. These include Ampersand Estates, Audrey Wilkinson, Jacob’s Creek, Mandoon Estate, Pizzini Wines, and Seppeltsfield.
