Ultimate Winery Experiences Australia

40 years of Tirage

A masterclass like no other

Discover House of Arras' most exclusive experience. This is a rare and privileged opportunity to taste a selection of this esteemed Tasmanian producer's most prized sparkling wines under the guidance of a private host.

You'll be warmly welcomed at the cellar door and poured a glass of the current release sparkling as you learn the history behind House of Arras. Led by your dedicated host, embark - wine in hand - on a guided stroll through the vineyard, passing by the oldest Chardonnay vines on the property. Discover the secrets of Tasmania’s diverse grape-growing terroirs, varying climates and fascinating agricultural history. Learn how sheep grazing farms were transformed into thriving vineyards throughout Tasmania to create one of the country’s finest wine regions, before visiting the winery itself for a sneak peek of where the wine is made.

You'll then settle in at a special outdoor tasting area with sweeping views for a vertical tasting of the rare and exclusive Museum Cellar EJ Carr Late Disgorged Editions. The tasting includes 100mL pours of three museum release vintages House of Arras' highly acclaimed sparkling wines, each meticulously aged for at least 13 years on yeast lees (tirage), collectively totalling the impressive 40 years of tirage after which this experience is named.

This intimate and bespoke experience offers unparalleled exclusivity and service. You'll be treated to a generous selection of ultra-premium House of Arras' wines, including back vintage EJ Carr Wines, which are opened exclusively for this experience and not normally available for tasting. You will have a dedicated host with you from start to finish, who is on hand to answer all your questions and to ensure you enjoy an uninterrupted, VIP experience. A picnic hamper filled with artisanal Tasmanian produce is the perfect way to round out this experience as you take in the stunning views of this picturesque property in northern Tasmania.

For those seeking the ultimate indulgence, the opportunity to have your boutique experience hosted by House of Arras' Ed Carr, Australia’s most awarded sparkling winemaker, is also available upon request, along with private helicopter transfers.
