A massive congratulations to our 5 Ultimate Wineries …
Spring is a time of celebration at Dominique Portet, as it marks the arrival of their new Head Chef, Michael Themel, and a revitalised bistro menu. With over six years of culinary expertise gathered in Healesville and around the globe, Michael's journey to this culinary haven is nothing short of remarkable.
Hailing from Austria, Michael's global odyssey led him through esteemed culinary destinations like London and the Bahamas, ultimately finding his way to Melbourne, where he honed his craft at renowned establishments, including Stokehouse and Philippe Mouchel.
In collaboration with the Dominique Portet team, Michael has crafted a bistro menu that gracefully marries the relaxed sophistication of a classic Parisian bistro with the abundant Yarra Valley produce. This menu also heralds the return of the wood-fired grill, adding a special touch to dishes like steak frites and seasonal specials.
Additionally, Dominique Portet now offers its new menu seven days a week, with the new bistro menu available from Thursday to Sunday, and a delightful l'Apéro menu from Monday to Wednesday. This culinary expansion promises an extraordinary dining experience for all.
