Ultimate Winery Experiences Australia

Innovative events at d’Arenberg

Innovative events, d'Arenberg

Innovation Bay took ‘innovation’ to a whole new level in the renowned d’Arenberg Cube, McLaren Vale’s very own architectural marvel and premium winery.

Bringing together start-up founders and investors, Innovation Bay’s new and old members congregated at the Cube to share their new ideas, experiences and propel each other forward in Australia’s competitive tech industry.

“We were excited to host Innovation Bay and showcase all that d’Arenberg has to offer to its members,” says Heidi Setschnoy, Venue Operations and Tourism Supervisor, d’Arenberg.

“d’Arenberg provides an ideal ambience of exclusivity and creativity, not to mention impeccable food and wine.”

The successful event featured ‘fireside chats’ between senior members of Innovation Bay and a ‘Shark Tank’ style pitch session to business investors, followed by a two-course lunch with matching wines.

“The highlight of the day was a personal tour with Chief Winemaker, Chester Osborn,” says Heidi.

“Chester provided commentary along the way in his usual entertaining fashion, guiding guests through the Alternate Realities Museum and Observation Deck, answering questions about AgTech and viticulture trends.”

The event was hailed a huge success, with Innovation Bay hoping to work with d’Arenberg again in the future.

“Our members were incredibly engaged and loved their time at d’Arenberg,” says Michelle from Innovation Bay. “The Observation Deck was really special – and the food! Chester was great and such a character, and although our members were tired after a big day, they wanted to stay for more.”

The cellar door at d’Arenberg takes in panoramic views over McLaren Vale, the Willunga Hills and the Gulf St Vincent and offers tastings from the vast range of d'Arenberg wines as well as masterclasses and blending lessons at the famous Blending Bench.

The d'Arenberg Cube is also home to the Alternate Realities Museum, located on the ground floor and the d'Arenberg Cube Restaurant, offering seasonally changing degustation menus, with an extensive wine list featuring a selection of imported wines, and both current vintage and museum releases from d’Arenberg.

Next door, d'Arry's Verandah Restaurant serves up spectacular views of the rolling hills of McLaren Vale and a quintessentially Australian dining experience. Head chef Peter Reschke’s menu champions local and seasonal produce to complement d'Arenberg wines, and a selection of international treats.
