If you are lucky enough to be at a loose end this weekend, Barossa Gourmet Weekend is a globally recognised annual food and wine festival held in one of Australia’s great wine regions, the Barossa Valley and takes place this Friday to Sunday.
When originally founded by local winemakers it was seen as a chance to enhance awareness of Barossa wines within the Adelaide market. Food from Adelaide’s leading restaurants, matched with Barossa wines, hosted at cellar doors throughout the Barossa.
The traditional format of ‘Winery Days’ enjoying Barossa hospitality, fresh produce, live entertainment and world renowned wines is still at the core of the weekend.
In 2013, the program was expanded whereby the Winery Days were complemented with a series of satellite events including long lunches and dinners, cooking classes and wine master classes, family friendly events – all showcasing the best of the Barossa.
From wine enthusiast, foodie, family or those just wanting to spice up your winter weekend, you can’t miss the chance to immerse yourself in the flavours of the 2015 Barossa… Be Consumed Gourmet Weekend.
Seppeltsfield is hosting Pies, Port & Petanque - indulge in range of Barossa artisan pies, both savoury and sweet, whilst sipping on a soul-warming glass of Seppeltsfield’s iconic Tawny Port.
