This week saw the the Board of the Australian Women in Wine Awards (AWIWA) announce the 2020 finalists in the 6^th annual AWIWA – the world’s only awards program for women in wine.

The Australian Women in Wine Awards – which are owned and operated by The Fabulous Ladies’ Wine Society – celebrate and reward the work of women in the Australian wine community, and community leaders who champion equality and fairness for all sexes in the workplace. 

We are delighted to see four Women in Wine from Ultimate Wineries among this year's finalists:

Winemaker of the Year

• Natalie Cleghorn – Yalumba & Hill-Smith Family Vineyards
• Cate Looney – Brown Family Wine Group (Brown Brothers)

Viticulturist of the Year

• Brooke Howell – Yalumba Family Winemakers
• Alexandra Miller – Voyager Estate

Owner/Operator of the Year

• Melissa Brown – Gemtree Wines

The winners of each award category will be announced at the 2020 AWIWA ceremony which will be live streamed across the world. We wish all this year's finalists the very best of luck and look forward to raising a glass!
