Ultimate Wineries Shine Bright at 2025 AGFG Chef Hat Awards

Culinary talent at Australian wineries continues to shine!

We are delighted to share the outstanding achievements of our Ultimate Winery Experiences Australia (UWEA) members at the 2025 Australian Good Food Guide (AGFG) Chef Hat Awards. These awards continue to set the gold standard for culinary excellence across Australia, and our member wineries have once again demonstrated their commitment to world-class dining.

What Makes the Chef Hat Awards Special?

Since their inception in 1982, AGFG Chef Hats have celebrated the mastery of Australia's most talented chefs. Awarded based on rigorous evaluations by anonymous AGFG inspectors, these ratings reflect the pinnacle of culinary skill and creativity. The evaluation process includes diner reviews and public opinions, but the final score is based solely on the food, assessed across six key criteria:

  • Ingredients
  • Taste
  • Presentation
  • Technique
  • Value
  • Consistency

The system uses a French-style rating, assigning a score out of 20 to each restaurant. No commentary is provided, ensuring the results remain focused purely on excellence.
