Jacob’s Creek and d’Arenberg recognised among South Australia’s best in wine tourism

Ultimate Winery Experiences Australia members have been recognised for excellence in wine tourism, with Jacob’s Creek and d’Arenberg named winners at the 2027 South Australian Best Of Wine Tourism Awards.

Announced at the SA Wine Industry Dinner at Adelaide’s National Wine Centre, the awards celebrate innovation and excellence across seven categories, shining a spotlight on the people, places and experiences that make South Australia one of the world’s renowned wine destinations.

For UWEA, the recognition of our member wineries is a wonderful acknowledgement of the distinctive experiences awaiting visitors in two of Australia’s most celebrated wine regions: the Barossa and McLaren Vale.

A sense of place at Jacob’s Creek

In the Barossa, Jacob’s Creek received the Architecture and Landscape award.

The accolade recognises an important element of a memorable winery visit: the connection between wine and place. In McLaren Vale, d’Arenberg was named the winner of the Art and Culture category.

The award celebrates another dimension of contemporary wine tourism, where wine becomes the starting point for a broader cultural experience. d’Arenberg has created a destination where wine, art, creativity and a strong sense of individuality come together, giving visitors another way to engage with McLaren Vale and its wine culture.

South Australia on the world wine tourism stage

The awards also reinforce South Australia’s place within the international wine tourism community.

South Australia is a member of the Great Wine Capitals Global Network, connecting the state with renowned wine regions around the world. The South Australian Best Of Wine Tourism Awards are presented as part of this membership, recognising outstanding wine tourism experiences across categories including accommodation, architecture and landscape, art and culture, culinary experiences, innovation, wine tourism services and sustainability.

As South Australian category winners, Jacob’s Creek and d’Arenberg will now represent the state at the international Best Of Wine Tourism Awards in Hawke’s Bay, New Zealand, in October, where they will join leading wine tourism operators from across the Great Wine Capitals network.
