New Chef for St Hugo

St Hugo is excited to announce Simon Hicks as their new Executive Chef. 

In 2022, Simon became a part of the St Hugo kitchen team and subsequently assumed the role of Executive Chef in June 2023, bringing with him over 15 years of culinary experience gained in various esteemed establishments in the UK before returning to the Barossa with his family.

Simon's culinary journey included working at renowned UK restaurants such as Scott's of Mayfair and serving as Head Chef at Mark Hix's flagship venue in Soho, London, in addition to overseeing the opening and operation of The Lord Crewe Arms in Northumberland, Northern England.

With a profound dedication to seasonal and locally-sourced ingredients, Simon has already begun to transform the St Hugo dining experience, emphasising uncomplicated dishes crafted to complement the wines and prioritising produce from the Kitchen Garden, ushering in a new era of dining at St Hugo.
